Kristen DiCresce
Kristen DiCresce is a senior Public Health student at ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø assisting Dr. Bethany Lanese (Health Policy and Management) in evaluating the THRIVE program, a Canton City Public Health initiative aimed at improving birth outcomes through the use of Community Health Workers (CHWs). Kristen has contributed to two literature reviews and helped analyze interview data on care quality and CHW effectiveness. Her work emphasizes prevention and the importance of social support in improving maternal and infant health. Kristen believes in centering maternal health and voices in program development and research. She plans to graduate with Honors and a Community Health Worker certificate, participate in ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹Ù꿉۪s Global Health Immersion program, and pursue a Master of Public Health and a career in healthcare, research, or social services.
