Dear ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø Faculty, Deans, Chairs and Coordinators,
Experiential learning experiences are a critical part of student learning. As part of ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹Ù꿉۪s reopening effort and keeping the university community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, several documents have been developed to provide guidance for off-campus sites hosting ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø students. This guidance also provides information for students and instructors. All the information can also be found on the Experiential Learning Information website. We ask you share this information with your external sites that provide learning experiences for ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø students.
For external sites: Expectations for Off-Campus Sites Hosting ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø Students
For instructors: Guidance for Instructors Concerning the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on the Selection, Approval and Implementation of Experiential Learning Experiences
For students: Guidance for Students Concerning the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Experiential Learning Experiences
The Experiential Learning Information website also includes program-specific guidance (e.g. College of Podiatric Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Applied and Technical Studies). We encourage each program to evaluate the need for program-specific guidance in addition to general guidance provided by ¾ÅÓÎÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø. If you have developed a program-specific protocol, please send it to Jen Abate (jabate1@kent.edu) for review. After approval, the protocol will then be added to the experiential learning website.
Sincerely,
Manfred van Dulmen, Ph.D.
Interim Associate Provost for Academic Affairs
Interim Dean of Graduate Studies
